The Advance Group was established in Yorkshire over eleven years ago, and within that time the company has become a leader in the provision of surveillance technology that has put The Advance Group at the forefront of commercial and public service delivery in the North and Midlands.
Today the group head office operates from modern offices near Sheffield at the heart of which is a 24 hour control centre. Here a range of services from reporting from the field, to energy, machine and surveillance monitoring, are constantly managed.
Customers benefit from the reliability and accuracy of the monitoring services that are provided by the 24 hour control centre, because of the sophistication of the technology employed.

Previously Chief Executive of Yorkshire Forward for seven years, Martin took a lead role in representing the RDA network with HM Treasury, the CBI and TUC. During this time he established several companies responsible for regional regeneration including Sheffield One and Renaissance South Yorkshire. In addition to responsibility for Yorkshire Forward’s £350m annual budget, Martin has been the non executive chair of the region’s European Funding Investments of £2bn over the last 6 years. Yorkshire Forward was included in the Sunday Times list of 100 Best Companies in 2007.
Tim Lindley, MIoD
Group Managing Director
Tim established the Advance Group in the mid 1990s. Within 10 years the group had established a multi-million pound annual turnover. Recently Tim’s entrepreneurial flair has led to the successful UK launch of Standby Saver, the first idea seen on BBC Dragons’ Den to secure the backing of all five Dragons.

John leads the development of innovative technical solutions that differentiate the group from market competitors. There are many applications of his technical expertise, including the development of revolutionary surveillance technology and energy saving initiatives.
